how does a person create their own digital beats and share it with friends?
Say I have friends over and want to put my own recordings onto their ipods/iphones? is there a way for this? The option to manually update that particular ipod or iphone means I can simply transfer the song to that ipod.
if I choose sync option it wipes that ipod of music and mirrors my whole itunes collection correct? But the manual option to transfer only a specific song onto that ipod should work?
I`m sure I have done this before, using my ipod synced to the itunes linked to my pc, then transferring a song from my mums itunes from her pc onto my ipod but I wasnt synced to it, I just used the manual update option? maybe I did it another way.
You have discovered the difference between an iPod and an iPhone. The iPhone does not support disk mode which is what the iPod did to manually manage music and move things across different libraries. The iPhone will only sync or manage music on a single library. And, before you ask, you cannot transfer music between devices using bluetooth like you might have done between other phones in the past. The bluetooth profile in the iPhone does not support that either.
With the iPhone, you can either sync to the library, or manually manage music. If you start of with one and switch to the other, it will change all of the music on the device.
