Are my iPhone earphones under warranty?

Hi, I got an iPhone 3GS last October, and the earphones are the ones with a volume/voice control/iPod controls.

I've noticed that on the actual buds themselves, the grey rubber loop is coming loose on both buds at the bottom. Also, the left earbud is definitely quieter than the right one.

Here's the big problem though - today, I noticed that on the left earphone, the wire is torn! Its happened at the bottom of the wire where the two merge together. The triangularish bit there is also torn at the left side, as though the left wire was pulled to the left and ripped through the triangular bit.

Also, I can see the two copper and green wires. They are exposed. But the earphones are stil working. Im sure that they wont last long though.

So can they be replaced under warranty? Dont want to have to pay £20... And i dont want to have to use some crappy looking sellotape or messy superglue.. cos i always glue my fingers together lol.
