remove ipod from computer/itunes

i recently sold my ipod touch and forgot to remove it from my itunes account.
How do i remove/deauthorize the ipod from my computer and itunes account?

ipod touch 2nd gen, Windows XP

There is no need to (and isn't possible). The most you should have done was restore the iPod via iTunes. This would erase all the content from the iPod and set it back to its original default settings.
