Help with video file formats!

hey guys,

got an 4G ipod and gona grab me a 5G for xmas. need some help on what video file formats the new pod will hold.

1) all my files on my comp are mpeg, avi and realmedia. can the video ipod hold any of these? if not are there conversion programmes available and what type to they need to be in?

2) can you watch the ipod videos on your tv easily? this sounds awesome and want 2 find out more!
