shortcut to open safari wherever you are?

hi. does anyone know if its possible to assign a shortcut to open safari wherever you are on your mac.... similar to cmd + space = spotlight...

If safari is already open the

command - tab

You might consider a wee app like *_ LaunchBar_* . This can be used to - among a great many other things - switch between apps, launch apps and open files etc etc etc. It's the first app I install on any Mac I use. A simple command-space (in my case, but it is configurable) type three letters at most -saf and hit return. I'm in Safari. Best of all it learns... next time I'll only have to type sa...

I'm not saying it's better than LaunchBar, only that I've used it for several years now and couldn't live without it.


Exactly how I feel about LaunchBar! I wandered over from QS several years ago when one version or other of QS was a bit crash prone on my Mac at the time. I looked around, found LaunchBar and never looked back. (I'm quite sure whatever issue was giving me grief on QS is long since fixed.)
