Export is disabled....

I'm trying to help my mother export from iPhoto. I'm controlling her computer via iChat and tried several things which still won't export.

iPhoto was just updated to 8.1.2.
When highlighting any pictures, choosing export does nothing. No window pops up.

I rebuilded the library [shift/apple Launch]
I deleted prefs, moved library, and created a new library. Import new pict. No luck.
I created another user account, same thing.

I'm assuming the application is corrupted. Can I delete it and reinstall it? What's the easiest way or what other steps can I try?
