Error code -10814?

When I try to run a script in iTunes 9.1.1, this error message pops up. What does it mean?

Active: iMac (G5, G4), PB G4, iPad, iPhone, iPod, MP2100 Retired: iMac G3, A2c, Mac OS X (10.5.8), Mac OS 10.4.11, Mac OS 9.2.2, iPhone OS 3.2 & 3.1.3, Newton OS 2.1

Did you download one of Doug's Applescripts?

If you did, you might want to check his site for more information about the script.


Yes, and I've emailed him also.

If not, try removing any 3rd-party iTunes add-ons.


I checked that KB but nothing relating to AppleScripts are in either location.

That may be the cause of the issue/message. A lot of iTunes features and file locations have changed over the last few years. That script may be too old for this version of iTunes.

Dougs website is the best resource for issues related to his scripts.

Actually, it was specifically written for iTunes 9 & Mac OS 10.5

I was referring to the Scripts Menu as having for years; IIRC I've had it since my first iPod (2nd Gen).

I was hoping to at least find out what the error code meant so I tried here also.

Well, I received an answer from Doug this morning, and even he doesn't know what the error code means. So I guess I'll close this thread.
