saved documents in bold, saved document not in bold

Yvan is suggesting that you use the Finder, the icon on the Dock that looks like a face.

Open the Finder and navigate to the files and see what you can learn there. Click on a name to select the file, and then Right-click or Control-click and select Get Info, or as Yvan suggested, use Command-I.

You may have a sentness.pages, a sentness.txt, a sentness.doc files.
If you system is set to 'don't show name extension, you will not see the difference.

Try to apply Show Info upon them.

From the Finder select one of these icon and press ctrl + i to get the infos about these items.

A name with no extension can't tell you what is really the file.

The greyed document are they created and saves as Pages document? Those that are greyed are probably in a format Pages can't open.
