how often do you see low memory warning? please share..

ive been using it for three weeks now amd it seems i see that warning every day. im not sure it is me using ipad for too long time or the ipad itself has the problem. i talked to a guy ini retail store and he told me it is all apps problems causing many malfunction not the hardware. but im not really convinced. because i have a safari problem too. while i use safari it just dissapear and shows the homescreen. is it. beacause i used it too long? i play many apps and it always show low memory warning and recommend to restart the device. is it normal behavior or it has some kind hardware problem as it has safari preoblem as well? please share your experience with low memory warning or shut down apps and safari. im so worried

I have yet to see a low-memory warning on my low-end iPad. Once in a while an app dies and I'm back to the home screen, but rarely and not Safari so far. Obviously different apps and web pages will do different things, so YMMV applies big time on issues like this.

Never seen it on iPad Wifi nor 3G (both 64G). Had Wifi over a month, and 3G for over a week. Never even rebooteded.

My GUESS is that the app has a memory leak, where it keeps asking for more and more memory. That would be consistent with it failing after a long time, not immediately, as it takes a while to run out.

When you sync, or from the General/About pane, how much unused memory does it report?

You might want to contact the app developer.

right now it says 23.10mb free memory left according to ipad info app. how can i find the apps that leaking memories? dont u think it is the hardware problem? is there a way to prevent the unnecessary memory? should i wipe out everything and reinstall the whole thing?

If you really only have 23 MEGAbytes of memory free, I'm not surprised you're having low-memory problems. Try deleting a few pictures, tunes, movies, whatever so you have at least several hundred MEGAbytes or maybe even a few GIGAbytes.

23mb is the memory not the capacity of hard disk. it says it has total memory of 179mb and 23 mb was free at thqt time i posted. i have 14giga left of hard disk. what im saying is the memory that i have problem with. is there any way to maximize? my memory or should i restart the device everytime it shows the warning sign?

I'm confused....where are you reading the amount of memory (assuming RAM) your referring too?

according to pad info app, it says i used 14GB of disk which is 32GB total. my problem is the memory (referring to RAM i guess) that has 170MB total and it says under memory ; inactive, active, wire, total used, free, and total (10.66mb, 19.30mb, 49.06mb, 78,96, 88.68mb) as now. does everyone have total memory of 170mb and so? or am i the only one suffering from lack of memory. apps suddenly shut down and sometimes it shows warning that i have low memory and recommend to restart the device. Does deleting pics and apps help the memory capacity? i only used half of disk and i don't think this is suppose to happen.

I'm not familiar with the "pad info app", so I guess I can't help you. You're sure you're not looking at the Mac-side Activity Monitor?

it's an app that shows infos like memory and capacity. what do you mean by mac side? is it that i can see in itunes?

Activity Monitor runs on your Mac, and shows you Mac activity. But it's irrelevant here. You'll have to work with someone who knows the "info app" and what its data mean, I haven't a clue.

ok i see.. i don't have mac so is there a way to see that in windows? i really don't know what to do with the memory. feels like it is not enough.. thank you very much for your replies..

It's highly unlikely that the problem is on your PC, so concentrate on your iPad.
