Adjusting brightness

Anyone have a similar problem.I cant adjust brightness at all in settings. Moving the slider to the left or right does nothing.Once in a while it will work.. Also screen gets hot and battery starts to drain quicker.

Kindly assist me.

I'm sorry to say that it sounds like something is very wrong, especially that running hot part. Get in contact with Apple ASAP.

Try resetting your iPad by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.

I've just realized that if it's on charge, it works fine. I can adjust brightness and screen stays cool. But once it runs on battery power, the brightness does not work, and the screen gets hot along the right side of the home button. It looks as if the bulbs are situated there.

By the way ,recover, restore and reset did not work.

Also iBooks brightness works fine on battery mode.
