Ipod Touch 3g 3.1.3 wont restore cause; Error 1604

I got my Ipod Touch 3g 3.1.3 for 10 days now, and i just wanted to get rid of all my programs i putted on the last days, so i connected it to Itunes and pressed ''Restore''
I had to update some things to do it and download and finnaly it would restore, but at the end of the restore a pop-up showed up with the error;1604
I've readed alot of other topics on google about this problem, and i tryd all their solutions they gave to eachother, but nothing worked, so now i can't login on my Ipod itself because when i start it the ''connect to Itunes'' shows up and nothing else, and on Itunes it says i have to restore it before using it, and when i do that the error;1604 will pop-up again.

Can anyone help me at this 1?
And if it can't be solved can i get a new 1 or something?
because i just can't use it.

XP, Other OS, Not sure which OS i got.

Yes, but that's not the real problem, because my Computer always detects my Ipod touch and so i will be able to press Recover on Itunes when ever i want, but when i press recover, it shows on the end that it has failed because of the error;1604,
but their might be another thing what may cause this, my friend jailbreaked my Ipod or something so i can use my own backgrounds, but 1 hour later i wanted to get rid of that program what i got new of that jailbreak because it takes too much time to load everything else on the Ipod so i wanted to Recover my Ipod, and then it all started. (Btw, it was the first time i used recover)

As I already mentioned, restore your device "as new ipod" connecting in recovery mode. Sorry, this is the only chance you have and the only thing I can answer, because problems with jailbroken devices can't be discussed in these forums due to the Terms of Use.
Make your friend read this article: [Unauthorized modification of iPhone OS has been a major source of instability, disruption of services, and other issues|http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3743]

Plus, jailbreaking voids your warranty:
5. What type of damages are not covered by my warranty?
Apple's Limited Warranty for iPod excludes coverage for damage resulting from accident, liquid damage, disassembly, unauthorized service and *unauthorized modifications*. Please review the warranty for further details. When a service is not covered under the warranty, Apple will return your original iPod to you without providing service, and may hold you responsible for shipping costs, plus any applicable sales tax.

Okey, but how do i restore my Ipod as ''new ipod''
All i can do is press Restore, thats it.
Edit~
Is there anyway to fix my Ipod 😟
my friend said it was harmless, i never heard about jailbreaking or something, i just got told it was to change the background, i thought it was just an app of apple, i just want to get my Ipod back to work again 😟
i just dont know what to do.
I'm actually flipping out over here.

Put your iPod into DFU Mode (Google that) and connect to iTunes. Then use Windows Task Manager (Ctrl-Alt-Delete) and look at the processes running on your computer. Find iTunes and select "End Task". With your iPod still in DFU mode and connected to your computer, re-start iTunes. That should let it recognize your iPod and Restore it to factory settings. If you're successful, make sure you choose the option to set it up as a new iPod at the end of the Restore process (i.e. don't re-load your last backup).
