Does APPLE respond to these topics? How do you restore DATA for 1 APP?

I know how to restore an APP via "sync" but "sync" does not restore APP DATA.

APPLE, please respond.

Really?
Does APPLE respond to these topics?

No. These are user-to-user forums as noted in your other post and the Terms of Use you agreed to also stated this fact.

How do you restore DATA for 1 APP?.

Also as noted in your other posts, this is not possible. It's all or none.

You can send suggestions to Apple to incorporate these features if you wish.
For your convenience, I will post a link (again).

FYI, from apples website:

On Windows XP, backup files are put here: \Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\

Regarding "restore", according to Apple's website, the FIRST PART of restoring from a backup involves this:

"Restoring your device will delete all the data from your device, including songs, videos, contacts, photos, calendar information, and any other data. All settings are restored to their factory condition."

The LAST part, according to Apple: "The final step is to restore your device from a previous backup"

You are promted with dates of previous backups (which apple calls "syncs").

The STUPIDITY here is that in order to restore from a previous backup, you must first RESET the device to FACTORY SETTINGS. That is pure stupidity.

Sirfaba was WRONG. I don't care who he works for.

I'm not concerned with the notion that app data is restoreable in some apps, while other apps the data is not restoreable.

I'm addressing the issue of why iTunes/Apples website states that in order to restore data, you first have to reset to factory settings and then you can choose from a backup. And why can't the "sync" feature simply restore the data for any apps that are synced if the data exists? Why does apple treat app DATA so differently from the apps themselves? If the backed up data for an app exists, sync should restore it. Period. But instead, we get these features:

Sync = restore one or more apps ONLY. NO DATA.
Restore = restore devices to factory setting and then restore all apps and all data.

Sync needs to be revamped.

Yes. I want people to chime in. I want to hear how others feel. With the current app LIMIT (11 pages) it's ridiculous that we have to swap in and out different app and games when we reach that limit. I've got a 32 GB 3GS but I'm limited to 11 pages of apps which is probably about 1/8th of my storage capacity. So swapping in and out different apps isn't that bad BUT when the APP DATA can't be restored as easily as individual apps, which mean you LOSE DATA whenever you swap apps... that's BAD. And to restore this data, you have to reset to factory settings AND restore everything and not just one single app. I thought the folks who develop iTunes and iPhones were a little smarter than this.

This is the best piece of information I've gathered from this discussion so THANKYOU. I had a hunch someone out there had something good to report. Agreed, not totally off-topic but my question still remains: why can't iTunes restore data for a single app I restore, via "resync". I know this is not how it works but it SHOULD work this way. I shouldn't have to reset my device to factory AND restore all apps and all data, in order to restore a SINGLE app and it's data. Thank you again.
