Can't copy folders to webdav server in Tiger, but can in Win XP

My machine is G5 iMac running Tiger 10.4.3

I can't copy a folder with files from my machine to a remote webdav-enabled server, but I CAN copy files and folders from my windows XP machine.

Since it works fine with Windows, I assume our server is setup okay and this is an issue with OS X 10.4...

We have a remote server (OS X Server 10.3.9) with webdav-enabled share folders on two virtually hosted websites.

On the server the shared folder's owner and group are www with r/w permission; everybody = none.

On the server I have an account in a Realm for a website's share folder giving me (and only me) author and browse.

Using Finder I can connect, authenticate, copy individual files, and copy empty folders to the webdav folder.

But if I try to copy a folder containing anything from my machine to the server I get the error that
"The operation cannot be competed because you do not have sufficient privileges for some of the items."

Help! I really need to administer my remote websites on my Apple server, and would kind of prefer to do it from my Mac, not my Windows machine!

Connecting to web-dav and ftp servers in the Finder are read only this is not a bug it is that read/write access is not a feature of osx at the moment.

Until then use a client such as fugu to connect to webdav servers.

I don't think that's correct.

I can copy a file or two or three, or an empty folder, just NOT a folder with files in it. So it's not read only, it's just not smart enough to allow a folder with files in it. File and folders but not file swithin folders still smells like a bug to me.

I'm hoping there's a finder workaround, but I will also try that client you mentioned. I got Transmit to work, but that's a little bit cumbersome, so hopefully fugu will do the trick. Thank you for pointing me to that client. when I went to versiontracker before my post and searched webdav client it missed fugu somehow. But your link worked fine.
