iMac and Macbook not seeing 5ghz network

At home I've got a Netgear DGND3300 which is a dual band router. It does 5ghz N and 2.4ghz G. So I have two Networks, a 5ghz network and a 2.4 ghz network.

I never have problems with the 2.4ghz network, but the 5ghz network only occasionally shows up on both my macs.

The 5ghz network was working fine for a month, but now I can't see it, however next door can! And they have an iMac 27".

I thought it might've been the router, so I had it replaced, but I still get the same issue.

I've tried resetting the network stack by deleting the preferences folder, but I still can't see it.

Interestingly, if I run Kismac to scan for local wireless lans I can't see it on there either - although I've got a feeling it doesn't scan for 5ghz networks.

There are no appliances around that could be causing interference, that I know of anyway.
