My computer doesn't recognize iPod shuffle (2nd gen)
I have tried EVERYTHING out there - my computer (Toshiba) still doesn't recognize my shuffle when I plug it into USB port. Cables are newly ordered and still it is not working.
Please help!!
i am having the same problem. it turns on ok so i know it's not the battery at fault, but i have tried two brand new charging docks and the headphones to try to listen to the music i put on there a year ago, and it does nothing. it can only be the headphone jack that is the problem. no idea how to fix it though
I have run out of ideas - sorry. So as a last resort...
By this time many iPods are out of warranty so it'd be easier just to get a new one if you're fed up with it and aren't bothered about loosing what's saved onto it.
I think you can take your old iPod into an Apple store and *get discount off a new iPod*, but I'm not sure if they're still running it.
i have the same exact problem sometimes when i connect my suffle a side bar message comes up saying it cannot recognize it. but i think it has somthing to do with the computer/itunes because i had 3 shuffles that worked completly fine until one random day all three stop working. is this a Coincidence 2 of them ran out of battery but i have one that still has a change i can listin to it fine but if it doesnt charge i have to buy a new one i guess.
Since the last iTunes update, it no longer recognizes my 2nd gen iPod shuffle. Is there anyway to get it to see my iPod or failing that, go back to the previous version of iTunes?
