Pairing a non-3G IPad with a bluetooth GPS

Can a non-3G IPad be paired with a bluetooth GPS? I have loaded MotionX HD and would like to use the mapping functionality with a bluetooth GPS. Anyone know if this is possible.

No, bluetooth on the iPad only currently supports headsets and keyboards.
