iPhone & IPv6

Hello, I currently own an iPhone 3G, and I am curious if the iPhone is IPv6 ready.

If carriers were to hypothetically switch to an all IPv6 network tomorrow, would my iPhone running 3.1.2 software be IPv6 ready, or would it need a software update?
