Why does Opera browser start up automatically?

When I upgraded to Snow Leopard from 10.56, the opera browser which I use mainly never opened on start up. Now that I have upgraded, it does so.

I don't remember changing any Opera settings.

How do I get rid of this.

I would like to open Opera manually.

I really am seriously thinking of ditching Snow Leopard. I don't see what I gain from using it, except maybe a few extra GBs.

Actually, it didn't work. I thought it worked because I could go in and remove Opera from the list. However, it keeps opening with that when I boot the computer. Strange.

I did download a program that installed in System Preferences called Default Apps. It said choose default browser, and I chose Opera. Maybe that's why Opera opens automatically. I chose default browser meaning that browser should open if I open any HTML file.

Do you think that could be the cause?
