As much as possible, try to incorporate your alternate website guide in the tip. Granted it never hurts to mirror the tip on your own personal website, but as a frequent tipster here, I find it useful to put everything in one spot.

The problem with that is I don't want to try to maintain and synchronize the same content in two places, especially since edits here are not straightforward.

If you receive any compensation from your website, it is a good idea to have a disclaimer on your tip if you include your own personal link. See Terms of Use.

You'd have to dig pretty deep to get from my virus guide to a page that advertises my services... I tried to keep that as separate as possible, without cutting it off entirely from my other guides.
