Echo with Audio podcast

I have an iphone 3gs - somehow I've managed to have all of my audio podcasts playback with an echo.

This does not happen when playing music or video podcasts.

Help.

Found the problem.
On the upper right hand corner of the screen, when a podcast is playing, there is a little box that probably shows 1/2X. Touch it and make it a 1X. It will be playing at the proper speed and the echo is gone.
