5 bars but no service

Yesterday afternoon I had 5 AT&T bars and an E for Edge service which was what I expected at my location (Northern Nevada). Internet, email, etc. all worked OK. Last night and continuing through today, I still have had five bars but a small circle where the E used to be and no internet service is working. Any ideas?
