Hopefully my title was not too confusing but heres my problem. I used the the microsoft exchange option to load my gmail account on my ipad like i did with my iphone so i can get the push notification. I have the settings set to no limit for the "mails day to sync" option. And the only folder i have set to push is my inbox. As for general mail settings i have it set to last 50 messages. Is there any reason why my old messages on my inbox are not showing up in my inbox? Of course the new messages i read and get on there show up and stay on there even after i read them but anything prior to that is not showing up. Any help?
TIA
Exchange account access with a Gmail account is a BETA and will probably remain that way for a while. Just about everything new Google adds remains a BETA indefinitely. If no change after deleting and recreating the account, contact Google technical support.
Thanks for the clear up. I did find a way around this if anyone is interested. I found that once I went searching on the server for a message on my inbox and just let it search for a couple minutes and then exit out of the search the old messages did pop up. I don't know if you would consider this a work around but never the less it did the trick for me.
I have the same problem. Even though it is beta from google it works fine on my iphone. all my old emails stay on the iphone inbox until i delete them. If i look at it right now my inbox on my iphone matches the inbox on the gmail webpage exactly. on the ipad the older emails are missing.
