iTunes downloads stuck at 'Processing...'

Hello everyone. I've had the 64GB 3G iPad since launch and finally dabbled into the iTunes store for the first time last night.

I wanted to download a season of one of my favorite shows (Cheap Seats) and it consists of 10 episodes. When I clicked on it to buy it, it brought up each individual episode and downloaded about 100-120k of information for each episode, then immediately says 'Processing...' with a status bar that is empty. This persisted for an hour, and then all night. I turned it on this morning and it still says I have 10 downloads and they are 'Processing...'.

I have tried to search for a similar problem and have come up empty handed. I have great 3G access at home, and pretty poor access here at work, so it is still showing 'Processing...' as I write this.

Any information would be nice, but I have no clue what is going on. I found a similar issue for iTunes for the computer, with 'Processing file...' taking forever, but the fix is to clear your download folder and I have no idea how to do that with the iPad.

Do I have to sync my iPad to my computer before I can buy shows off iTunes? I already did the initial sync to my computer when I got it but haven't sync'd it since. Wish I would have tried it before work.

Thanks.

You should not have a continous 'processing' message. I read in one post here that someone else had problems with a subscription to a season.

What are you using, Wifi or 3G? If so, are you getting good data download speeds?

If you can still not download them, on your receipt that Apple emails you there is a link to report problems.

Also, you can try an ipad restart. If no good, try a reset.

I am using the 3G iPad and by good data download speeds you mean good 3G service? Yes? I haven't noticed anything being slow, but I haven't tried to download anything else but a couple apps to my iPad so far.

What I did do to fix the problem though, was to download the episodes to my iTunes on my computer, and then sync the episodes from my computer to my iPad. Had no problem then obviously. I purchased them on the iPad and then when I logged into my account on my computer it was showing them as purchased. I downloaded them to my computer and just synched them to my iPad.

Not really sure why they wouldn't download on my iPad and why they were stuck at 'Processing...' for so long, but at least there's a workaround.

Thanks.

I just selected some WWDC10 sessions which a specified as suitable for viewing on an iPad and have the same issue. All of then are listed in iTunes download area as processing... And the little downloads in progress counter on the downloads icons is flashing.

I suspect this means that iTunes is waiting for a wireless connection to do the download instead of a 3G connection. But it's not obvious.
