Will Apple buy me an ipod classic if i send back my touch?

I sold my ipod classic in order to buy a new touch, only to find out the touch has less functionality than the classic when it comes to smart playlists. The touch will not live update smart playlists as songs are played on it. This was the main advantage of the ipod for me and i use smart playlists with updating heavily.

I want my old ipod back. I have not heard one single word about this problem from apple. Will they give me back my classic or fix the touch? I cannot get any information either way. VERY frustrating and very disappointing.

This is an important/crucial functionality in my mind. Anyone else feel this way?

Dell XPS, Windows 7, ipod touch

Sold it to whom?

What do you mean "will they give me back my classic?" It doesn't sound as if they have your Classic. If you want another Classic, you're going to need to buy one. The only thing you'd get from Apple would be 10% off the price if you traded in your Touch. You can probably get much more selling it yourself.

You may also want to look at the deals on refurbished iPods on the Apple Online Store. I've purchased two and they are indistinguishable from new.

Best of luck.
