AppleSyncNotifier.exe-unable to locate component

If you're getting that when you restart the PC, that suggests that one of your Apple Application Support program files may have gone bad. (A lot of the background processes for iTunes for Windows that run on startup require a properly functioning Apple Application Support in order to work properly, as well as iTunes.)

Which component is the error message saying is missing? (Precise spelling, please. Include any filename extensions, like .sys or .dll.)

Which particular Windows OS are you using? (XP, Vista or 7?) If you have Vista or 7, is it a 32-bit version or a 64-bit version?

I'm having the same problem. i never got that message though. It's just every time i try to open itunes it tell me that quicktime could not be found. I tried re-installing, like they said, several time but it still doesn't work. The yesterday i updated my itunes, could that have anything to do with it? Please help me! I have windows Vista if that information helps.

but it state something the Core.dll is not found

🙂 Thanks, fiadoff. That's close enough. Most likely that'll be CoreFoundation.dll, which is an Apple Application Support file. So I think we need to swap out both your iTunes and your Apple Application Support.

Since you've got a 32-bit Vista, I'd try the instructions I give to Jroth in the following thread:

Okay. Plan B. Let's try installing Apple Application Support "Standalone".

Uninstall iTunes again. Launch your Apple Software Update. (Start > All Programs > Apple Software Update.) *Don't install anything just yet.*

In Apple Software Update, go "Tools > Open Downloaded Updates Folder". Delete any files in there at the moment.

Go back into your ASU. Select iTunes and go "Tools > Download only".

After iTunes finishes downloading, go back into your Downloaded Updates folder. Doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi file to start a standalone Apple Application Support install.

Does that seem to go through okay? If so, now doubleclick the iTunes.msi file to do an iTunes install. Does that one seem to go through okay? If so, let's try launching iTunes again. Does it launch without the Apple Application Support errors this time?
