May 19, 2010 10:38 AM in response to Larry Willby eww,Why not just replace the nonfunctioning optical drive in your Powerbook? Loading your hard drive with several DVDs' worth of data is going to fill it up fast. If you have plenty of room (i.e., you'll still have at least 15% of the hard drive free after copying all your DVDs onto it) then maybe it's a reasonable idea. Otherwise, it really isn't. -
May 19, 2010 2:42 PM in response to Larry Willby Larry Will, thanks for your post, but I made the decision a year ago when apple told me it would be $300 to replace the drive-that is why i bought the external drive(under $100)......I only intend to install one workout dvd at a time.....so the space used will be minimal.
So, can anyone tell me if it is possible and how to do it?
