Ipad playing Dolby Digital 5.1 audio tracks

I noticed in Itunes Movie, those HD video on sale or rent carries Dolby Digital 5.1 audio track. I thought Ipad only play AAC? Does that means these HD videos available in Itunes Store can't be play on Ipad or Ipad in fact can play Dolby Digital 5.1 audio track?

Is there anyway that Ipad can play Dolby Digital 5.1 audio track (AC3)?

The mpeg 4 videos used by iTunes support multiple audio tracks.
Not only does the video have an ac3 track, but also a aac stereo track.

When you play it back on your iPad, it will use the aac stereo track-not the ac3 track.

Unfortunately, I am not able to make a home-encoded video offer multiple audio track. I have no problem on iTunes, but on my iPad, I only see the subtitles choice; nothing for audio…

I does not play Dolby soundtracks, be it 2.0 or 5.1. But it does accept multi audio tracks, I have tested movies with 2 audio tracks and you can select between the tracks using the same button you select subtitles.
