Help! Ipod classic frozen and Itunes cannot see it.

Hello.

My ipod froze on me a few hours ago. It did it when I attempted to open a game and it came up with an error screen. The error screen said: This game cannot be launched.
this may be the result of a full ipod.

this is where the ipod is stuck. Completely unresponsive. None of the controls on the ipod work, nor does it respond to being connected to my pc. I tunes does freeze when I plugged it in, and then unfreezes when I unplug the ipod.

what do I do?

the ipod has currently 85gb of storage capability available out of the "160" it came with.

please help.
thanks,
Brian

Hello there,
And welcome to Apple Discussions!

Have you tried a simple reset of the iPod? To do this, toggle the hold switch on and off, then press and hold the Select (Center) and Menu buttons together for a couple of seconds until the Apple logo appears. If no luck the first time, be sure to try a few more times for good measure.

If that does any good, you may want to restore your iPod via iTunes. If not, it might to try and restore it on another computer if possible and then on your own.

I've got the similar issue with my Ipod classic. It occurred when I was driving in bumpy conditions and the Ipod was working at the same time. Suddenly it stopped and I thought that the battery got flat. So next day I start charging and it was not charging at all and continously said "Please wait. Very low Battery" even after couple of hours charging. And sad Ipod icon appeared with reference to this support web page. Just in case I thought that the battery connection might be and issue and opened the cover. The battery connection was ok. I tried this reset function still battery never got full and sad Ipod icon did not disappear.
So my question is if bad battery might be the reason it is frozen and I tunes cannot see it or the vibration during the bumpy driving?
