this may be a stupid question but 10.6 is supposed to have a builtin vpn cliennt - i can seem to find it
when i search for vpn in spotlight it just points me to the network preferences but i dont see anything there that would allow configuring a vpn client

well problem is it freezes so I need an option to force restart it. Not just restart or stop, but force restart. The VPN-thing is not part of Finder (it doesnt restart if u force restart Finder), so the question is: which application is it part of? Can I restart it through the Terminal? So far I've had to restart the entire computer.

I have the same issue. Have Cisco Any Connect installed as per my IS guys at work. Tried using Microsoft Remote Desktop and I cannot connect
I read somewhere that 10.6 has built in VPN.But how , where do I find it
I do not understand what you replied to the other person . What did you mean by "VPN Interface"?
I to to System Preferences , Network and then what?

I found where to select VPN and create an Interface
Next problem. My employer had me install Cisco AnyConnect but now I don't know which of the three VPN choices, offered me by OS 10.6, to use.
Have any of you used this Cisco AnyConnect VPN client?
MY employer's IT dept claims it does not know how to help me set up a Mac (shades of the 1990's!)
