Frozen cursor using terminal

I am new to terminal and it starts with trouble. When I key in a sudo command I have to confirm with admin password. Password come up but the cursor is blocked. I cant key in any sign, letter number etc. but the terminal is active. Pressing „return“ says sorry, try again. This happens to me with 3 computers: Mini, iMac, Pro. I also trashed already terminal.plist; no succsess.
Thanks for helping

Welcome to Apple Discussions.

There is a UNIX discussions area where you can ask further Terminal questions.

It is a feature of Terminal that when you type your password, it does not echo (show) for security. The cursor will not move and appear blocked. But after typing in your password and pressing return, your command should be executed.
