Itunes wont connect to store.

"iTunes could not connect to the iTunes store; the network connection timed out. Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active then try again"

I have tried the solutions posted on this site, and others including:

Making myself admin
Removing firewall
Removing host files
Changing the proxy server settings to none
complete reinstall

Anyone got any other suggestions?

I also can't connect to the iTunes store. This is new in the past few weeks. Nothing else in my system or service provided has changed. I've tried absolutely everything the site recommends and no luck. My ISP said they have received several calls about this, investigated on their end, and say it's not them, it's the iTunes Store site. Help!

Ok I'm not sure that this works but I've heard that it does to "un-brick" your ipod. It's called putting your device in Recovery mode or DFU mode. Open iTunes, plug your device in and hold your home and power button down for ten seconds. Then release the power button continuing to hold your home button for another ten seconds. Your computer should recognize it and you can restore your device. If this doesn't work search on youtube "how to unbrick iphone/itouch". Hope this works!

Could someone help me with my problem (in easy-use words, ima kid) but, since just before christmas, whenever i go on itunes it lets me in. Then when i go to buy ANYTHING it tells me to check my internet connection because its not working. But see, it really is. Because i am on other sites at the same time and it still lets me into the store... so i went to get the new itunes hoping that would help and whether i choose run or save it would go through to the last step then tell me there was an error in downloading the new itunes. i still cannot find a solution. Can someone help me and tell me what to do? PLease and Thank You.

I am also getting the message "Itunes could not connect to the Itunes Store. The network connection timed out. I don't know much about computers and I have tried everything I know of to fix this. I know I am connected to the internet because I can view other websites. If anyone could please give me some suggestions on how to fix this problem I would appreciate it. Also they need to be in very plain, everyday English for me to follow them.

Thanks.

I have resolved the problem that gave error message your phoned could be synced because an error occured.
The dialog box code 0xE800000050(01)
Remove the harddrive and check it works through another computer.
This code is a hardware issue.
Still reckon it's got something to do with vista which is the biggest pile of ?£:'xnfbxn since appollo 13

I HAVE THE ANSWER!!!
Wont help everyone but will definitely help tons of you guys.
Just info: Windows XP Itunes 9.0.1
The answer for me was simply turning off a proxy server
Ctrl Panel/Internet Connections/Internet Options/Lan Settings/Uncheck the box that has the proxy server crap in it.
Worked immediately after i unchecked it and i have a feeling its gonna help a lot of you guys out.

I have just had the same problem!! It took me alday to figure it out but I've got the answer.

Go into your control panel and into uninstall a program. uninstall everything that says apple, itunes, quick time, bonjour, apple software update, apple mobile device support, apple application support.
Once you have done that restart your computer.
Next go to http://www.oldversion.com/downloadiTunes8.0.0.35.html and download itunes 8.
Once that has been downloaded it will offer for you to update you itunes, decline this for the time being. Go into your documents folder into your music folder. in there you will find all your music files, drag and drop them into your itunes. Plug your iphone/ipod in and tranfer all your purchases into itunes. Once all this is done you will be able to connect to store. Then all you have to do is update your itunes and its done. It shoul work perfectly 🙂

Good luck!
