eMac Serial Number

Hello. I am trying to determine the actual model of eMac I have here but the serial number which ends with PP1 (G8350 *PP1- Build 8S165) is not listed on the Apple Support " How to determine my eMac model" page. Anyone have any ideas what model I have here given the serial number listed above, or how i can find out? Where else can I look. Any reply would be greatly appreciated. Thanks For reading this.

For information on your Mac (model, date of production, etc) then enter your serial number at this site. Information, based on the serial number, will be shown. http://www.chipmunk.nl/klantenservice/applemodel.html or last 3 characters of S/N at this site http://www.everymac.com/ultimate-mac-lookup/

Based on your PP1 S/N, you have a 1GHz eMac

System Profiler is reinstalled with OSX and will tell you a lot. Do "About this Mac..." from the Apple menu and then click "More Info..." in the resulting window. The first screen that comes up--"Hardware Overview"--quite precisely identifies your computer. The processor speed and the "Machine Model" line are the most useful bits.

If Machine Model reports "PowerMac4,4" your 1G emac is the earlier version with USB 1.1 ports. If it says PowerMac6,4" it has the later USB 2.0 board. Although never "officially" cataloged, USB2.0 eMacs with 1G processors exist. They were a special educational version that have recently started showing up on the used market

Is it possible to upgrade the USB 1.0 to the USB 2 on this 1Ghz G4 emac? I have done it successfully on earlier PowerMac models just by swapping the USB board but not sure of the upgradability of this emac. Any input or advise greatly appreciated as always. By the way thankyou for the replies to my earlier question. Most helpful. Thanks guys.
