Hi,
Your post is up to date! It's so annoying to use Pages. I tried to paste several images into the page and all of them fly all over! Option "Move with TEXT" is not always work!
I did switch to WORD and all is good. Will wait another 10 years to use Pages again - maybe 😉 Do not want to spend hours to set images in correct place ....
I have solved the problem this way:
1 copy the picture into the document and it is floating in the middle
2 Resize to a little less than column with
3 Drag the picture into the column where you want it
Here comes the trick:
Drag it a little to the right of the right aligned text
Go into the menu and click divide text over and under.
Now try to put in an extra line somewhere in front and you see the image moves with the text.
If you want the picture to be exactly inline with the right aligned text, you can now drag it to the inlined position.
It's been a while you've asked that, Brentbin, but I'll leave an answer, because I had the same doubt today and I seem to have found the answer (for those who happen to have this question in the future): Click on the image and use the side panel to edit it > go to the "Arrange" tab > Object Placement (first option on the list) > Move with text.
Voilà ! 😉
You do realize you are responding to a thread that is over three years old and would have obviously been referencing a much older version of the app, right?
Actually I came to this thread because I'm facing the same issue on my mac.
Then you should post in the iWorks for OSX forum. This thread concerns Pages on an iPad. Different application.
What I meant is: there might be others facing the same issue, still. Sorry to have disturbed you, Ward4 (then and again).
Not disturbing me at all; just wanted to point out you may not get the assistance you want in this thread (far more likely to get it in a new thread in the appropriate forum).
