Hide default context menu in Safari href fields

Hello everybody,

I am trying to have a 'context menu' on Safari for iPad.

The idea is that when user touched (mousedown) on an anchor link (href) for extended long time ( more than 2 to 3 sec? ) I want to create a context menu just like a right click on Windows browsers.

But in Safari for iPad, it shows up its own default context menu such as 'Open', 'Open in new page' and 'Copy'.

I do NOT want this default context menu shows up.
Can anybody please advise me how to do it?

Also, if anybody knows how to create a functionality just like .oncontextmenu event from Windows browsers, it will be very helpful, too.

Thank You
shwe

I could be wrong but I think Safari for iPad and Safari for Mac are very similar especially in html tags attributes. Sorry, i did not see any forum or link for iPad Safari development in your link.

I believe this should be pretty straight forward.

Can you please guide me to a document/reference for Safari browser developement for Mac or iPad?

Thank You
