Failure to print unless I restart MacBook Pro

Hi everybody,

Suddenly I cannot print on my Canon MP600. It is connected via USB to an AirPort base station. I use a MacBook Pro (OS X 10.5.8) and had no problems before yesterday. The printer shows the jobs and indicates ''printing'' but nothing happens. If I turn the MacBook Pro off and restart it, it will print. I also noticed that I see my dreaded ''Color spinning wheel'' much more frequently. Any Possible connection?
Would appreciate your help to resolve printing problem. Tks in advance
