iphone crashed, need help!

I recently plugged my iphone into an ihome (couldnt tell you what one exactly it was a friends) and the screen flashed white and colors shot sideways on the screen. I unplugged it and it worked fine for the rest of the night. I charged my phone over night but i woke up in the morning and it wouldnt hold a charge at all. It died and now wont turn back on. any idea's?
