Gram Scale

Hello,

Is there an app for the iPad that has a grams scale? I found several scales for the iPhone, but the area on the iPhone where the items are placed to be weighed is a little too small. Thanx anyone for your help.

I researched the apps store.

All the scale apps are labeled either joke or for entertainment only.

Read the fine print....

Hi Red,

Thanx for your reply and the research. I can believe that. Otherwise they wouldn't be charging only .99 cents. Still, what's .99 cents? I'll just download the app on to my iPhone and give it a try, but my question still remains open as to whether the grams scale apps are made for iPad too. Thanx again.

All of the Scale apps are in the iPhone section of the apps store, and none of them have the plus sign denoting dual use. That said, they will likely work ok if they do not require the finger balancing act, but lay flat on the table. You will likely not be able to use them in 2X viewing mode, as the target area of measure is designed to be very small. For the price it may be worth giving a try.

Hi again,

How right you both were! What a waste of an app that was! I'm glad it was only 99 cents. I wanted the scale to weigh the progress of my two baby cockatiels. How silly of me to think these apps would be of any help. Like you said, the target area given is very small. It so true when they say, "You get what you pay for." Well, I'm off to Amazon to see if I can find a decent gram scale. Thank you both and have a great evening. -Pelusa

You might consider going to the Weight Watcher Web Site. They sell scales to measure food portions and they are graduated in grams. They even have nice little plastic baskets that owuld hold the birds.

Hi Dr. Sam S,

How very nice of you to suggest the Weight Watcher website. Great suggestion! They did have the scales there, but alas, it was too late, for I had placed the order for a gram scale w/Amazon last night. Thank you for your kindness. Have a great day. ~Pelusa
