Web site appearing too wide in Safari

Web site appearing too wide in Safari

When I open certain web pages using Safari the page is too wide with large empty spaces in the frames and in order for me to read it I have to keep scrolling to the right.

If I open the same page with Internet Explorer I can read everything in one single page without having to scroll.

Can anyone tell me how to solve this issue?

Can't do it because this site requires log in corporate info.
However from what I've noticed this is what happens:

When the page loads initially, it looks ok for about half of a second. Everything is close enough. Then suddenly the page expands to the right becoming impossible to fit in the screen and forcing me to scroll to the right in order to read it.

I don't recall ever seeing this.

I had the same problem with FFox but then if I change the Page Style to No Style instead of Basic I can see everything close together but it looks like web 1.0.

In Safari do you think that it has something to do with the Style Sheet option?

Hi

it sounds like the javascript resize function - I don't think anything else could do it.

If disabling javascript stops it, that's the cause.

Can you not resize the window manually after the page alters it?

I think it would be easy to do this with either HTML or CSS without JavaScript.

HI,

Try emptying the Safari cache to see if it makes a difference. From the Safari Menu Bar click Safari/Empty Cache.

Relaunch Safari then navigate to one of those web pages.
