I am working at home on some tracks that were recorded at 96k in Protools. We consolidated the PT tracks and just imported them into Logic as Waves. for the most part they are working but I did have some issues with songs being damaged and getting all kinds of random error messages that prevented me from even loading that song. It's happened twice so far. This is the first time I've had any problems like this AND it is the first time that i am working at 96k with such large files. What is the simple way to convert the songs and the tracks/files to 48K. Is there a simple way? It's seems like the size of the files may be the culprit. Any other ideas appreciated.
the types of error messages that I have gotten on several of these songs are:
Warning:Project May be damaged
Minor Problem In Data
Score Style Fixed 12
Error: CSong::CreateSeq-Illegal Block Size
then the song will finally open up and no regions or tracks are in the arrange window at all.
You can convert sample rates of all your files in the *Audio Bin,* using the *Copy/Convert Files...* command under *Audio File.*
To get around the errors, try creating a new project from the
Empty template and import & convert your audio into that. Don't forget to set the samplefrequency to 48k in the project settings first.
thanks alot. I just followed your instructions on one song. Everything seemed to convert over to 48k just fine. I stayed in the same session/song. I may try starting a new empty template next. It did change all of the files to just the name of the song instead of their individual track names but that is probably because of how I "saved" them.
I'm sure I can get the tracks to a new empty template but what is the easiest or correct way to import a number of tracks into a empty project like you described? As you can see I am more of a songwriter/musician than a Mac operator! thanks again,

Several methods: you can use the *Add Audio file* command from the Audio Bin and select all files you need in the ensueing dialog, or you can simply drag 'n drop the files from the Finder window into the audio bin, or directly onto the arrange area. Logic will automatically create audio tracks when you do that.
