Problem with fan - 4MOT/4/40000002: Exhaust-0

Hello,
I have a problem with fan in a brand new MBP 13", 2.66GHz. First two days of using the fan was little bit noisy, but I can't tell if it was normal or not because it's my first Macbook. Yesterday it stopped spinning and iStats shows 0 RPM all the time. Diagnostic control ends with error 4MOT/4/40000002: Exhaust-0, which is probably problem with logic board ( http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=2131905).

I'd like to ask, if this error might be caused by some software. If so, can I somehow repaire it (uninstall, update,..)? I tried to reset SMC but I don't know how to find whether the reset was successful.

Thanks everybody in advance.

The 13" MB Pro has only one fan. If iStat is showing 0 RPM for both, then there is a problem.... if it is only showing 0 RPM for one of them, then that is normal. All new 15" and 17" models... and most previous 15 & 17" versions (which the exception being the base 15" model of the last generation) have two fans. Most utilities are designed to show both of them... but for the 13" machines, one fan will always be at 0 RPM.

During normal work (web browsing, documents reading, etc.) it is usually less than 80°C (180°F) on the CPU and 40°C (105°F) on the enclosure base - it is probably ok. But when I watch for example Youtube video it gets higher and operating in Mac OS is not smooth. Also I tried to process complex (long) diagnostic test and it overheated and freezed. Fan is always stopped.
