Problems with YouTube unlisted setting

YouTube recently added an "unlisted" setting to video uploads, that makes the videos viewable only to people who have the link (it can't be searched by keywords). It's more limited than "public", but not as restricted as "private".

Anyways, I just discovered that iPhones and iPads are not able to view the "unlisted" videos. The app must not recognize that setting. When you try to view an unlisted video, it tells you "YouTube not available".

Anyone else having this problem?

Hopefully they will fix this bug in the next iPhone update.

You can make unlisted videos available for the iPhone by changing the Syndication settings for the video to "Yes, make this video available on mobile phones and TV. Note, the video may not be available on all devices due to copyright or licensing issues."

If you mark a video as unlisted, then YouTube apparently sets the syndication setting to No, by default.
