This is not difficult. Go to yahoo or google. There you will get an icon to sign off and use safari to get on to your emails instead of apps. Try not going to yahoo email directly when you want to sign off.
Well this is the final straw for me really. I will search online how to do a factory restore then this gadget can go back to my wife's office - and stay there.
My wife found it useless for anything productive so gave it to me. I have also found it pretty useless (Bluetooth cannot transfer files? Really? No proper USB? Cannot edit docs without a 365 subscription? etc etc etc etc). I really don't see much use for it really, and find a 3 year old Android tablet vastly more useful and user friendly.
Urgh.
My perception was that apple was a user friendly trend setter, not an android copy. They charge way more and represent themselves as superior, so they should be different... And better.
Actually, iPad pricing is fairly competitive. And, I agree, they are much netter than other tablets.
You can sign out of Yahoo Email. Go to the bottom left corner, you will see a 'person' icon and your name, click on that and you get the 'sign out' option.
Thanks but I am not concerned. Regardless if folks have 'moved on' (geeze...) the security risk exists on the Ipad and needs fixed.
The iPad can be password protected. It's designed as a singlle user device. Password protect it; security issue solved.
I agree. My whole family is sharing my iPad 2 and I realized my daughter was able to see some of my messages about her Christmas presents yesterday! How frustrating!

Delete the Mail account then download the free Yahoo ap. it solves the problem. the apple philosophy of not being meant to share is ludicrous. My entire family shares one.
How to logout/logoff from the email account ?
