Can I use a PC power cord on my iMac?

I brought my imac to my sister's house to show her all the cool things it can do, but I left the power cord at home. It's a 6 hour drive, so that's out.

Can I use a PC cord? Is there something special about the mac power cords? I have one of the new 21.5 in. iMacs.

Thanks.

Yes. My cousin has one powering his iMac. He bought his used and has never had a true mac cord.

It must be able to physically fit at the back of the computer. Three prongs, three female slots at the computer end. You could give it a try, but just don't force anything. You can probably see just by holding it near if it matches up properly. Male rectangular (not round) prongs at the computer end to female rectangular slots on the power cord--that's on the G5 and probably the same for the 21.5 (mine's connected right now, so can't look;) must be an exact fit. Other than that there's nothing special. I'd insert it at the computer first, then plug it in to wall power.
