Corevideo.dll and CoreAudioToolbox.dll

Hello everyone.
I posted this question on itunes support but I found out that this problem is actually related to quicktime and not iTunes, removing itunes and quicktime fixes this issue, installing alternative codecs for quicktime files makes the problem return.
Original post:
While trying to open cubase 5 or mv2player I get this strange error that says "corevideo.dll is missing" and then another error that says "CoreaudioToolbox.dll is missing"
Looking up those keywords I found that they are files that are related to iTunes, so I tried reinstalling iTunes and that didn't work.
Upon closer inspection, I found out that the folder does have the two dlls and they are the correct size and yet the error keeps popping up.

What can I do?

Thanks in advance,
Maor Malka.

Actually, those two dlls are *Apple Application Support* program files nowadays. (I think CoreAudioToolbox.dll first moved into AAS with AAS version 1.2.0.) There's some information on the relationship between AAS, iTunes and QuickTime in the following user tip:

[QuickTime for Windows and Apple Application Support|http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2353984]

installing alternative codecs for quicktime files makes the problem return.

Which alternative codecs have you been installing? Have you been using QT alternative, by any chance? (Checking, because that can drop some QuickTime componentry in unorthodox locations on the PC, and set the registry to check for QT componentry in unorthodox locations on the PC.)
