Hi tri, You can check one of my replies to the same issue as i was trying to do the same thing as you are trying now with no success, simply because the LCD monitor on you mac is an OUTPUT device, not INPUT one, Even i got one of these hight end TV tuners but again simply, The kind of resolution the Xbox needs to display the game on a screen is way too high then what your screen can offer. It spitted me a message that it need a higher resolution to display, So, Save you efforts and money.

Hey man,

if you want to hook up your xbox 360 to your macbook pro, there is a cable that i found on amazon that look like the typical xbox component cable. However in place of the yellow jack there is a HD VGA adapter and the usual red and white AV cables. To make it work just buy the AV converter so you can plug it into the line in jack on the side of the macbook and the DVI to VGA adapter and your playing xbox on your laptop. If you search HD VGA xbox 360 in amazon it should come up. Cheers man hope it works for you too.

Your 13" MBP is newer and has different video hardware spec that the older MBPs this forum covers. You might get more answers better targeted at your version by posting in the forum for newer MBPs, including all 13-inch models, here:

(Not your fault--the forum labeling around here is a mess! 😮 )
