Milk spilled- any way to take phone apart to air dry?

My daughter spilled her milk and laid my Iphone 3g in the puddle, it was 10 minutes before I noticed. I saw a little milk in the headset hole and I see congealed milk in the camera window. The phone is working except 1) the camera view is obviously fuzzy and smudged 2) the sound doesn't work except for some reason, on speaker phone it works. Itunes, apps, and regular phone calls have no sound.

Is there any hope for this and is there a way that I could take it apart to clean the camera window and air dry so the sound may come back or is the sound dead at this point? Any tips?

Thanks!

The whole phone is probably dead, but you can possibly disassemble it and clean it out. Google for iPhone disassembly instructions. You need to have some small tools and be handy working on small devices. You should rinse it, ideally with an electronics cleaner, but distilled water may work (and you don't have much to lose). Open it up and disconnect the battery first, of course. Dry it thoroughly before reassembling.

Or send it to one of the many iPhone repair shops who advertise on the internet.
