Locate me/ Find current location feature not working

I was wondering if anybody else has had this problem:

The find current location/ locate me feature (e.g. In maps and the feature that many apps will ask on launch) doesn't seem to work on my iPad. I've tried several times, and from a number of different wifi sources, all with the same outcome - "Your location could not be determined."
