My ipod video 5.5gen 30gb won't turn on

How long have you left it to charge? Sometimes, it can take up to 30 minutes or more for the iPod to gain enough to juice to power on especially depending on how you are charging the iPod. I would wait a little while and then try resetting the iPod with it still connected to a power source. To do this, press and hold the Select and Menu buttons together until the Apple logo appears. Otherwise, if no luck, your iPod's battery may be shot and will need to be replaced either through Apple, a third party repair company, or yourself.

Hi Guys!
new to forum. Need help with my iPod 5th gen with video(30GB). I recently bought Wadia 170i transport & connected my ipod to it but no sound. I am using the right cradle & the ipod is fully charged. What am I doing wrong? Is there a software upgrade for the ipod that will make it compatible with Wadia?
