AdWords.com Crashes iPad Safari

Hi all,

Same problem here with Safari, however I'm trying out Mercury Web Browser and it seems that it works OK with Adwords.

So far I'm testing with the "Lite"-version.

Glad to know I'm not alone. I was able to get it to work by switching to the old interface, but it's frustrating to find a site that repeatably crashes the iPad's browser, yet neither side will accept responsibility for fixing the problem.

This app works with Adword, I just downloaded it yesterday and it works on iPad but a bit slow you can download it from the App store on the iPad. The program I used is called "Atomic Web" This fixed the issue with Adword but it wont fix it with Safari...

After upadting to IOS5 Adwords.com works fine on the iPhone 4 (full desktop Adwords version).

Oddly, it still does not work on the iPad after updating to IOS5. It is slightly better, you can get maybe 2 screens in/40 seconds worth before it crashes Safari, but its still unusable.

No clue why it should work on the iPhone but not the iPad. The iPad I am using is a version 1 (IOS5)

Maybe someone has it working on the iPad2 with IOS5?

Hey guys,

Use the "Google Search" app developed by Google,

Open the app,

Search for "adwords" in search bar,

Now visit Adwords Website, it will load within the inbuild browser.

I use this method for more than 2 months, even on iOS4, no crashes, works good !

How I wished you were correct...unfortunatley this thread concerns the "desktop" version of Adwords, not the mobile version, which will work on anything. I am guessing you only tried the mobile version?

I tried it via the google search app on the ipad 1 OS5 and it crashed within 30 seconds.

Am speaking about the Destop version Only

( if you are on mobile version, you just need to switch to dektop from bottom of screen )

And my experience is with iPad 2, it works with both iOS4 and iOS5,

From your issue, i could find the reason that, Adwords interface needs more temporary memory to process, that might not be possible on ipad 1

Okay try this app out, you can download it from the app store and it works, its just a little slow and it works to help you run adwords, its a different browser, I do not have a problem with it except that its slow....

Reading the recent comments it looks like the issue is with the iPad 1, it just cant hack it.

Yeah, it looks like its time to put the iPad 1 in the bin then. Still, it lasted a year before becoming outdated?!

Okay, well try rebooting the iPad. I had to do that when I installed Red Alert onto my iPad. I always reboot after intsalling a game or program. Usually that helps. If that does not work then you might want to contact Apple, I have iPad 1 and adwords works with that browser. If this does not work then bring it into Apple, or it could be that the company that updated the their browser and wont work for the 1st gen iPad.

I've tried the reboot thing. I even have an app flushes the memory of everything except the most vital things. Dont have much faith in the the Apple Geniuses based on past experience. They should pay them a higher salary.

I just bought an iMac 2 weeks ago, my first iOS, been working on PC only. Im happy I finally did it!

I also just bought the iPad 3, and also got the iPad 2.

I work a lot with Google Adwords and it was a big disappointment that the desktop view for Google Adwords crashes on safari browser on iPad. Since I would like to update my campaigns often, the iPad would be the perfect tool - mobile and always quick and nearby.

Anyways I GOT IT TO WORK!

If I open and load desktop view of Google Adwords in one tab in the browser it crashes,,, BUT if I open a tab with any web site, and in a second Tab open desktop view of Google Adwords, it doesnt crash..... ?! Perfect. Weird. But Perfect.
