importing idvd

I have an older idvd movie burned to a dvd that I need to import back into fce to do some additional work. I can't get it to import. Any ideas?

If it requires rendering then one or more of the properties set in the
Streamclip export are incorrect or the Sequence in FCE doesn't match the Streamclip export.

To find out, right click the Sequence icon in the Browser and select Item Properties. Do the same thing for a Clip from Streamclip. Do they match, audio and video?

If you can't render in FCE then you may have the render options unticked in the Sequence menu. Place a check mark against the options you want enabled.

You're right!! And thanks to everyone else too. I checked the properties and there were a few differences, but I wasn't sure how to make the corrections. Kind of like reading a book on quantum physics. Since the selection had tried to render and then showed a "general error" at the end, I cut it up into sections of about five minutes each and it worked. Ten minute clips were too long and wouldn't render. Thanks again.
